What with the new episodes and all. Does it anyone think that they're might be a new novel on the way at some point? Much easier said then done obviously and I'm sure many other thing are afoot, but I'd like to think it's possible at least.

I think personally that Series IX could possibly be a novel, explaining the loss of Kochanski, the ship's reformed state, and the death of Rimmer / return of Ace Rimmer [as explained in the BtE commentary, sort of].

At least then if the series is infact retired, which in a wicked "only Dwarf could do it" kinda way I hope it is, then we'll still know the entire plot.

Yeah, that would definitely be nice if there were new books in the making and book stores would sell them over here like they do with the Hitchhikers series. *hopeful stance*

I think they should make the other books into TV or movie form.

All four books are well worth reading, the audio books are good as well. Are yours the full versions or abridged? The radio shows of the first 2 books are also well worth a listen.

Abridged means cut down - basically skims over the crutial plot segments
Read all the books and listened to all the audio books - all of which are highly recommended although the weakest is "last Human" in my opinion - favorite is "Backwards" or "Better Than Life"

I was planning to buy the novels aswell as the audiobooks as my attention span to reading books is very short, Ive yet to complete a novel of any description since school. If I get the novels and read them whilst listening to the abridged versions will I be missing huge parts of the story thats in the novels? Do you recommend getting the full version audiobooks? One more question My abriged versions have two cassettes per novel do the full versions have more?
